國立政治大學（以下簡稱本校）為提升亞太地區政治、經濟、社會、文化等各領域之教學與學術研究，並配合教育部提升國際競爭力計畫，本校社會科學學院特設亞太研究英語碩士學程(以下簡稱本學程)。本學程入學資格、修習課程、學位授予及其他相關事項，除本校有關規定外，均依本辦法辦理。

• International relations.
IMAS specializes in an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the important aspects of the region. As part of NCCU’s College of Social Sciences, the program utilizes the talent of accomplished English-speaking faculty throughout the campus to enhance the program’s educational goals. As a top university in Asia, NCCU also offers enrichment groups and activities to enhance students’ understanding of Taiwan’s history and culture.
“IMAS alumni play an active role in many different fields and locations. Over the course of a few years, graduates have begun to make a lasting impact not only in Taiwan and their home countries but also throughout the world.”
IMAS students are required to complete a minimum of 33 credit hours of graduate course work. The majority of IMAS courses focus on either Taiwan or mainland China and fall under one of three disciplinary tracks: political economy, socio-cultural studies, or cross-strait/international relations. Students can take at most 9 credits outside of the IMAS program. In addition, all students will complete a thesis in their final year.

修業規則
一、宗旨
國立政治大學（以下簡稱本校）為提升亞太地區政治、經濟、社會、文化等各領域之教學與學術研究，並配合教育部提升國際競爭力計畫，本校社會科學學院特設亞太研究英語碩士學程(以下簡稱本學程)。本學程入學資格、修習課程、學位授予及其他相關事項，除本校有關規定外，均依本辦法辦理。
二、入學資格
本國籍學生應通過本校舉行之招生入學考試，外籍學生需通過書面審查，經錄取後，取得入學資格。外籍選讀生之入學資格，依本校相關規定辦理。
三、修課、成績、年限
（一）本學程學生畢業學分至少需修滿三十三學分，其中不包括畢業論文。
（二）各科成績以一百分為滿分，以七十分為及格。
（三）學生每學期至少修習一門課；已修畢應修學分數者，不受此限。
（四）修業二年，得延長為四年；休學累計最多以二學年為限。包含休學在內，修業最多以六年為限。
（五）選讀生或本學程學分班學生若依本學程規定申請並錄取為正式生，除了需符合本學程修業辦法外，需取得正式學籍至少三學期，始授與學位。
四、選課規定
(一) 本學程學生得選修其他研究所之相關英語授課課程，至多三門課；IDAS與 IMES視同學程內課程。
(二) 本學程外籍生因研究需要，得修習非英文授課之研究所專業課程，至多三門課為限，並須於加退選一週前提出申請，且經學程主任同意後始得修習。
(三) 若有其他特殊選課需求，則須交由學程委員會討論同意後始得修習。
五、課程人數限定
本學程選修課最低課人數以十人為原則。
六、學分抵免規定
（一）選讀生或本學程學分班學生得申請抵免於本學程修習之課程，至多九學分。
（二）本學程學生（不含選讀生或本學程學分班學生轉為正式生）得申請學分抵免，至多六學分。惟抵免課程須與本學程領域相關，並以英文授課之研究所開設之課程。
（三）抵免科目之成績，國內成績需達80分以上，國外成績則至少為B，並需經由學程委員會審查同意。
（四）所修科目必須為五年內之課程。
（五）如有未盡事宜依學程委員會決議辦理之。
七、學位資格考試
（一）申請日期:學期中隨時皆可申辦。
（二）考試時間：於申請日當學期內完成。
（三）申請資格：學生於修課取得18學分後，經指導教授同意，始得申請論文計畫書審查。申請計畫書審查，應填具申請表，連同計畫書一式四份送交學程辦公室。審查考試應於申請日當學期內完成。
（四）計畫書應包括以下內容：
1、研究題目
2、研究主旨
3、文獻回顧
4、研究方法及架構
5、主要參考書目
（五）審查以口試方式進行。
（六）口試委員至少三人，指導教授為當然委員，其他委員經指導教授推薦。校外委員至少須佔全體委員之三分之一。
（七）論文計畫經口試委員全數評定及格者，始為通過；通過後，學生即取得碩士學位候選人之資格。
（八）資格考試舉行時，因病、因事、因公需請假者，應依「國立政治大學學生請假規則」規定辦理。
八、論文口試
（一）申請日期: 研究生於論文完成後經指導教授同意，自研究生完成該學期註冊手續起，至當學期學校行事曆規定休學截止日可向學程辦公室提出申請，惟須於口試日期兩週前提報。
（二）考試時間：於申請日當學期內完成。
（三）申請資格：碩士學位候選人於論文計畫書審查通過四個月後，得提出論文口試申請。申請論文口試，應經指導教授同意，並填具申請表向學程辦公室提出。(112學年度起)
（四）碩士學位考試委員會由委員三至五人組成，校外委員至少須為委員人數1/3以上。
（五）學位考試成績須達七十分方為及格，一百分為滿分。學位考試有二分之一以上委員評定不及格者，以不及格論。
（六）學位考試成績不及格且修業年限尚未屆滿者，得於次學期或次學年申請重考，重考以一次為限。
（七）重考及格成績以實得分數登記。學位考試經重考仍不及格，應予退學。
（八）重考及格成績概以七十分計，學位考試經重考仍不及格時，應予退學。
（九）口試之論文必須於排定口試時間至少兩週前送達口試委員；論文口試通過定稿後，學位候選人須自行登入「政大博碩士論文全文檢索系統」進行建檔暨上傳電子論文檔作業，並應繳交兩本論文給學校圖書館，一本論文給學程辦公室。
（十）本條文未盡事宜，悉依大學法及其施行細則、學位授予法及其施行細則、及本校其他教務章則與教務有關法令辦理。
九、指導教授資格
指導教授以符合「學位授予法」規定之本校專任或合聘教師為原則。若為本校兼任教師，或校外專、兼任助理教授以上之教師者，須經學程主任及院長同意。
十、學位授予
本學程學生須符合「國立政治大學社會科學學院亞太研究碩士學程修業辦法」之規定，始授與學位。
十一、本修業辦法經本院亞太研究英語碩士學位學程委員會通過後施行，修正時亦同。
